I use this in my tropical tortoise enclosure to make a darker area for resting. I have to bend the hanging rod so that it hangs down properly from the ceiling, but it has enough flex. It's designed to hang vertically on the side of an enclosure.
Cons:Could have more flexibility in the hanging arm so getting the correct angle was easier
